Happy Spring

So much to catch up on here and I hope to organize my thoughts soon. (We are HALFWAY through April can you believe it?!) I didn't mean to neglect this blog, especially since one of its main purposes is to act as a virtual family photo album for us. (Because who knows when I'll actually make a real album!) In the meantime, Happy Springtime from our girls to you! Hope to be back here soon!

Happy New Year!

I know, I know . . . I completely dropped the ball in keeping this blog up to date towards the end of last year. I can't believe my last post was in November about July! To be fair, we have been busy with our move to the boonies (more on that later) and I do tend to hang out more on Instagram these days than I do here. (It's my new addiction. It's so quick and easy to post pics, not to mention the fact there is so much inspiration out there.) Hoping to do a better job with the blog this year, but with January nearly over, I am so far failing. Like last year, I would like to use this post to share moments (in no particular order) from the last few months of 2014 to wish you great things in 2015! Here's hoping that in the New Year you will . . .

Tybee Time | Around the Manor

The Mermaid Manor that is! We found a nice cottage to park ourselves in for our stay in Tybee. It wasn't as close to the beach as we would have liked, but place had good vibes and set-up, with two porches, one air conditioned and the other screened in (great place for a thunderstorm one night!) Anyhoo, here are some moments hanging around the manor:

Tybee Time | On the Beach

Where were we? … Ah yes, summer … End of July to be exact. That's when we went on our summer vacation to Tybee Island in Georgia with Grandma and Poppy. We mentioned our plans to the rest of the fam and ended up meeting up with some over a scattered period of time during our stay. We spent our days playing on the beach, wading through the tidal pools, making drip castles and sand turtles. We rode bikes on/to/from the beach and around the island - day and night! We went for ice cream and did some shopping at Chu's (kind of like the Neiman Marcus of the island…not). We watched the sunset and enjoyed fabulous family meals together. Daddy even made friends with the local pirate (he wasn't creepy at all).

Yep, overall it was a relaxing time (as soon as Vivian's pack and play was moved to the bathroom so she - and we - could sleep). In typical fashion, I took too many photos and will share them randomly over two posts. Hopefully I can get back up to speed and post more current happenings!! Until then, let's keep summer alive for just a few posts more!
