Story Time

As you already know, Isla loves books. Reading is a part of our daily routine -- we read before naps/bedtime, on the potty, to distract from tantrums, during mealtimes and well, just because. We even listen to stories on the ole iPhone while eating lunch or driving in the car. So it wasn't a huge surprise to see Isla interested in sharing her appreciation of literature with her baby sister. She had so much fun running back and forth between her room and ours, choosing different books from her collection and sitting down to "read" to Vivi. Meanwhile, Mommy enjoyed getting a few chores done (woohoo) without too many interruptions for a change. Vivi just liked the attention from her older sister, I think.

"here, you can ring the gack."

"bim bends ben's broom . . . "

isla has some of her snack

while mommy folds laundry her room! yikes!

See, I wasn't just relaxing with my re-re-heated coffee from that morning!

P.S. Please excuse her frizzy, post-nap hair.

P.P.S. Do you like the outfit that she chose all by herself? "The shirt matches the pants, Mommy." Yes, Isla, it sure does.
