Another Good Day at the Beach

Aldrich family at Bonaventure Cemetery

Let’s take a trip back to June when we packed up, hopped in the car and took a nice long drive from Bawlmer (read 10+ hours) to Tybee Island in Georgia for the Aldrich family reunion. When Daddy was growing up, he spent many a summer at Tybee with his family, so it holds a special place in his heart (awww). Rightly so, it's truly a special place! What made this trip even more meaningful was introducing the Tybee traditions to his girls. We thoroughly enjoyed our beach week! Highlights included, but were not limited to . . . lots of time on the beach, reminiscing, chasing kids, catching up with family (for multiple generations!), Nanny's ice cream treat at Seaweeds, fire works, sand dollar searches, treasure hunts, drip castles, sun burns, great food, late night karaoke, a moving memorial service at Bonaventure Cemetery, porpoise sitings, etc. . . In other words, couldn't say it any better than GP did when he'd say: "it's another good day at the beach!"
