Madonna Madness

Isla's Grandma Madonna turned the big 6-0 earlier this month so family and friends gathered in the Dominican Republic to celebrate! The long weekend was dubbed - Madonna Madness - which isn't too far from the truth! Thanks to Maureen, we hit the DR full speed, with a party of about 30 of her closest family and friends! Lots of sand, sun, food, drinks, dancing, singing, games, drinks, jump roping, swimming, thongs, hugs, etc. Isla truly enjoyed hanging out with all of her aunts, uncles, cousins, family friends and of course Madonna. The trip wasn't without a tad bit of drama (the hospital in the DR is actually quite decent it turns out), but everyone ended up okay and nothing could distract us from the reason we were there, to celebrate our Madonna! While we miss the beach (like a lot!) it's nice to be back in our cozy home in Brooklyn. I just sifted through photos from our trip (Isla was actually giggling and pointing at the computer screen) and thought I'd share some highlights!
