Summertime in England

love that english countryside

Yet another summer we found ourselves across the pond! For some very good reasons - which I'll share with you over the next few blog posts! I'll start with our time with our family and friends. (A pretty big reason to head over.) We visited England for two weeks or so in July, spending the first week at Auntie Rosy and Uncle Dom's lovely home. Nothing like an English fry-up to start each day! (Our waistlines are still adjusting...) We visited with cousins, aunts, uncles, Grandma, and other good friends. It was exciting for everyone to meet Vivian for the first time. Huge highlight was that all of the Quigleys were together! Gavin and Veronica, who were not coming originally, gave us a huge surprise by showing up for the weekend!! Best surprise ever! Never forget seeing them casually walk up after Rosy had left to "help James whose car broke down..." ! Weather was nice, even had a scorcher one day! And I have to mention that while the pics might depict otherwise, traveling with children is hard! It's like everyday life, just in a different location. But they were troopers. Handled the flight, car rides, and time change so well! Huge thanks to Grandma, Poppy, Auntie Rosy, Irene, Jaime and all others who helped keep our little ones occupied at some point!
