Fall Traditions

The weekend before Halloween we visited the same farm as last year to pick out our pumpkins. This time around we met up with our friends Bill and Suzy who have daughters roughly the same ages as our girls. It was a somewhat chilly, but beautiful day (Isla boycotted her coat, of course) to take rides on the tractor train, run through the corn maze, boo barn and slide down the hill-slide. Isla went down by herself first and was soooo scared! I wasn't fast enough to capture the look on her face (which was priceless) plus I wanted to watch her to make sure she was okay! She was fine, but preferred to ride down with a grown-up for the rest of the time there (thank you, Bill and sorry, Mommy). A fun and successful day, as we brought home two big pumpkins to carve and of course, had to sample ourselves an apple cider donut!

colleen and isla - probably on their 5th ride around

colleen braving the slide alone.

much more comfortable with Bill!

and mommy (smiling through the fear)

i'll take this one

not sure what vivi thought about it all

nice to come home for a snooze after all of that fresh air!

Stay tuned for pumpkin carving and Halloween pics!!
