Okay, we weren't exactly in the backwoods or anything, just the backyard! Regardless, outside was the place to be during a recent weekend in Northern Neck. Such lovely weather! Even when it cooled down quite a bit on the Sunday, we still stayed out. All weekend we enjoyed vibrant fall colors (Isla was most happy to find some bright pink - or close to it - in the fall foliage), tire swinging, "sa-mores", taking walks, tending to the oysters, dock-sitting with coffee or wine in hand (depending on the hour), etc.
